Helen Hale, ROI, NS, SWA (born 1936) is a well-known painter and sculptor and member of several leading societies, including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters to which she was elected in 1973. She has exhibited also at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal West of England Academy, the Free Society of Painters and Sculptors and the New English Art Club 1967-70, and has held many solo shows including at The Hawker Gallery. She was married to the artist Sydney Horne Shepherd (1909-1993) and lives in Sussex.
