Painter, etcher and lithographer of outstanding merit; John Copley studied at the Royal Academy Schools and then studied in Italy. He exhibited widely at R.A., the R.S.A., R.B.A. and the N.E.A.C. His work is now held by the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum and other public collections. John Copley responded strongly to European influences and reached a pinnacle in British printmaking. |
